My girls have started a summer blog. They plan to document the entire summer and all the summers after this and then do a blog to book or something of the sort. If you are interested and would like to take a peek at what they’ve come up with and just what they have planned for this summer click on this link….. 2012 Summer of Fun. Zoe is pretty adamant that constant updates will be made, but we’ll see how gung ho she is mid summer. It’s cute and it’s their creation, so enjoy.
India’s 13th Birthday slumber party was last weekend. The girls had a blast. Good thing, because we are at it again this coming Saturday for Zoe’s 11th Birthday Slumber Party. Anyway, here are some pics from India’s night-o-fun!
Yup, my oldest is 13 today. Crazy stuff. I don’t feel old enough to have a 13 year old, but I do. She’s pretty dang wonderful too. So happy birthday to my beautiful, creative, crazy, sweet, kind, funny, amazing 13 year old, India-Rose. I love you more than you’ll ever know.
August 29, 2011- The first day of school. I remember that feeling the night before my many first days of school and I was crazy excited. My kids, notsomuch. Actually, quite the contrary, they seem rather annoyed and inconvenienced. I now have a 5th grader and a 7th grader, so it could just be the ages and that they’re girls.
Zoe is taking the bus WAY across town this year and WAY WAY earlier than most. She wanted to finish her elementary years off at the school she’s been going to since 1st grade. India’s school is not too far away, but just far enough to be bussed. It’s a new school for her, but she already has a couple of friends and I’m hoping that she meets some more living in our new neighborhood now that school has started. I didn’t get pictures of them together this year, because of the difference in when they need to wake up, but here they are in all their glory!
Zoe – Age 10 5th Grade
India-Rose – Age 12 7th Grade
To all those kiddos out there heading back to school today, good luck, I hope today is wonderful and starts your school year off right. Good luck to Michaela Sorrentino on her first day at Rancho High School!!! Can’t wait to here all about it!!!!
My girls have been coming to the office here and there with me this summer. Every visit they do some serious drawing on my white board. I decided I should probably start taking pics of them, as each one gets a bit more elaborate. They make my office happy and bright and cheerful and I catch my coworkers peeking in and checking out what the girls have done this week.
Pictures both taken with my iPhone, disregard the quality and enjoy the cuteness of it all.
Today, we celebrated India’s 12th Birthday and Zoe’s 10th Birthday, with a big ass 50’s themed skate party! We rocked it. It was tons of fun and tons of friends and family. The girls were crazy excited all week and afterward Zoe told me it was the best day she’s had in like forever!!!! Which seriously made my heart sing! We skated like crazy, ate some pizza, dressed up in cool ass 50’s gear, ate some big HUGE cupcakes and skated some more.
So, thank you all who came to celebrate with us. You made it what it was and you totally made their day and mine! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! We love you all!
My little India-Rose is 12 today. 12. I can’t believe it. She has made the past 12 years of my life amazing. Crazy, but amazing. She is creative, funny, eccentric, sweet, gentle, and as loving as ever. She’s now in the 6th grade, her first year of middle school, working her butt off. Doing better than expected and as happy as can be. We’re a lucky little family to have her and I’m a lucky little mom to get to hug and kiss her as much as I want! Happy Birthday my beautiful girl. I love you more than you’ll ever know.
