Light the Night Walk

I will be walking for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Light the Night Walk in memory of a very good friend, Don Denny, who passed away September 20th.  Below is a link to the site if you are interested in donating money towards the walk.

Also, below is a copy of Don’s obituary.  He was a wonderful friend and will be missed very much.  I worked for Don for 10 years and can’t imagine not having him around anymore.   He had my back on numerous occassions, made me smile and laugh constantly, and was such a great friend to anyone and everyone around him.  I hate that I won’t get to see or talk to him again, but am grateful for the time I had with him.

DENNY, DONALD

DONALD DENNY Donald Lee Denny, 52, died peacefully at home Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008. He fought a long, courageous battle with leukemia, all the while being the best husband, father and friend one could ask for. Don will be missed by many. It is comforting to know that he is with our Heavenly Father, no longer in pain. He was preceded in death by his baby son, Max; and his father, Robert Denny. Don is survived by his wife, Lisa; his children, Victoria and Jonathan; his mother, Georgia Denny; his brother and his family, Gary, Jeri, Michael and Audra; and many other relatives and friends. Burial services were held Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas, where Don was born and grew up. A celebration of Don’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2 S. Pecos Road in Henderson, where he and his family lived for the past 12 years. Thank you for the many prayers that have been prayed over the years for Don and our family. In lieu, of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. “The Lord is good. His love endures forever, his faithfulness continues through all generations.” – Psalms 100:5
