Because we get a real Christmas Tree as opposed to a fake tree, we end up waiting until only a week or so before Christmas to buy one. Otherwise, it’s only up for a short period of time. Anyway, today was the day, we finally went on the hunt and after three lots, we finally found the one and came home with a lovely 8 foot tree!!!!! It’s very pretty and big and crazy colorful with tons of decorations in one area (we did the lights, but the girl’s did the rest.) I’ll have to move the ornaments around a bit better once they goto sleep tonight. Tonight is a fondue and Christmas movie night. Makes for a wonderful end to a pretty cool day.
“I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys.”
